How they work
Sparkle, by Every, reads your files, creates a folder structure from what it finds, and keeps your Downloads, Desktop, and Documents organized on a schedule. It also finds duplicates, junk, and apps to remove, and you can describe what you want in plain language.
Lisorto proposes a Space and, where a name says nothing, a clear name for each file, then waits for your approval. The text inside documents, scans, and screenshots is read on your Mac, which also makes every file searchable by its words.
Pick Sparkle if…
- you want AI to design the folder structure for you;
- cleanup like an app uninstaller and junk removal matters as much as filing;
- you already pay for the Every bundle.
Pick Lisorto if…
- you want to approve every move, with one Undo for the batch;
- you want files read on your Mac rather than sent away;
- you want to find files by the words inside them, scans and screenshots included;
- you prefer a free tier or a one-time purchase to a subscription.
Switching from Sparkle, or using both
- Point Lisorto at a folder Sparkle doesn’t manage, or turn Sparkle off for it, so two tools don’t move the same files.
- Lisorto leaves your existing folders as they are and files new things into its Spaces.
What Lisorto never does
- It never deletes a file. Duplicates are set aside, not removed; Free up space moves things to the Trash only when you pick them.
- It never overwrites a file. If a name is taken, that file stays where it is.
- It doesn’t upload your files. Cloud AI is optional, off by default, and sends only a short excerpt of an unclear document.
