Terms, privacy, and how to uninstall, from the app (build 129)
October 26, 2026
- Settings › General › About Lisorto and the Help menu now link Lisorto's terms and license, the privacy policy, and how to uninstall Lisorto.
- About Lisorto also lists the open-source software Lisorto includes, the Sparkle update framework, with its copyright notice and MIT license. The same notice is in the app as Contents/Resources/Acknowledgements.
Tax pack folders named like your Spaces (build 128)
October 22, 2026
- The tax pack's folders, its spreadsheet's category column, and the Expenses card name each Space as Lisorto shows it. A Space you renamed keeps its folder on disk, and the pack now uses its new name.
- Switching to Business from the Pro window now says what Creem does: Business is charged from today, and the unused part of your current plan is credited back.
Money reads more real PDFs (build 127)
October 22, 2026
- Money now reads invoices whose text runs together the way many PDFs do: "Bill to: Your Studio" on one line, a company name followed by its address or email, or a total at the end of a table row. It still leaves a field empty when it isn't sure.
- An invoice addressed to a business whose name starts like a label ("Nova Studio", "Northwind") is now known as a bill you got, not one you sent.
- The tax pack's spreadsheet names each document's type in words: Receipt, Invoice (sent), Bill (received), Statement, Contract.
- In the sidebar, the list of Spaces with files waiting in Tidy up is now called Waiting to file, so it isn't mistaken for all your Spaces. Spaces, above it, opens every one.
Lisorto Business in the Pro window (build 125)
October 22, 2026
- The Lisorto Pro window now offers Lisorto Business next to Pro: everything in Pro, plus Money, for $9 a month or $79 a year. If you already pay for Pro, Switch to Business moves your plan after you confirm the price: Business is charged from that day, and the unused part of your current plan is credited back.
- With Business, the sidebar and Settings › Plan say Lisorto Business.
Money, the start of Lisorto Business (build 124)
October 22, 2026
- New: Money in the sidebar. Lisorto reads the receipts, bills, invoices, and statements in your Spaces, on your Mac, and shows invoices that haven't been paid, this year's expenses, subscriptions and their price changes, and what's due in the next two weeks. Every amount opens its document.
- Mark an invoice paid, or open a reminder draft in your own mail app; Lisorto never sends anything for you. Export a year as a tax pack: a ZIP with the documents in folders by Space, plus a spreadsheet for your accountant. These are records, not tax advice.
- Money is part of Lisorto Business, which includes everything in Pro. Your trial includes it, so you can see it with your own documents.
- A preview of a file named .pdf that isn't a PDF inside, or one macOS won't let Lisorto read, now says which, instead of calling it damaged.
File previews you can always close (build 123)
October 22, 2026
- The file preview now has a Close button, and Esc or Return closes it. Before, it could only be left through Show in Finder, so it looked like Lisorto had frozen.
- Previews load in the background with a time limit, so a large or damaged file can't hold up the window. A damaged or password-protected PDF now says so, and a file that's only in iCloud is never downloaded just to preview it.
- Every other window in Lisorto closes with Esc too.
Anonymous counts only with your yes (build 122)
October 22, 2026
- Lisorto now sends anonymous step counts and crash reports only after you say yes. Earlier builds sent them unless you turned them off in Settings, and nobody was asked. After your first Tidy up, Lisorto asks once; until you answer, nothing leaves your Mac, and “Don't send” deletes what was kept. If you said yes before, nothing changes. The install count is still sent, as before.
The amount in bill names (build 121)
October 22, 2026
- Bill name templates can now use {amount} and {currency}: the total or amount due, read from the bill on your Mac, like “2026-10 Amex statement 1234.56 USD”. Only a clearly labeled total counts; when Lisorto isn't sure, the file keeps its name.
A small first Tidy up (build 120)
October 21, 2026
- The first time you tidy a folder, Lisorto selects the dozen files it's surest about, like installers and screenshots, so the first Tidy up is quick and easy to check. “Show all” brings back the whole plan, and Undo is still one click.
A trial reminder that shows what Lisorto did (build 119)
October 21, 2026
- After your first Tidy up you can leave an email for one reminder, two days before the trial ends. It says what Lisorto sorted for you: files, Spaces, and AutoPilot runs, as numbers only. No account needed, your address is deleted once it's sent, and the email unsubscribes in one click.
One question, asked once (build 118)
October 21, 2026
- After a few good Tidy ups or AutoPilot days, Lisorto asks once whether you'd write a short review on AlternativeTo. “Write a review” or “Not now”, and it never asks again.
Bills by month, named your way (build 117)
October 21, 2026
- With Pro, bills and statements can go into a folder for each month, like Bills and receipts/2026/10, by the date written on the bill. A bill that shows no date goes by the day the file last changed.
- Bills can also be named from a template: “{year}-{month} {sender} {type}” makes “2026-10 Amex statement.pdf”. Change it in Settings, under Sorting, Bills and statements. Tidy up shows every new name and folder before anything moves, and Undo brings back both.
Sidebar buttons answer the first click (build 116)
October 21, 2026
- The Update and Get Pro buttons in the sidebar reacted only to a click right on their word, so a click on the rest of the button did nothing. Now the whole button works.
- Adding a Mac costs half your plan's price: once with Lifetime, or $2.50 a month or $14.50 a year with a plan. The Pro window and Your Macs say which.
iCloud Desktop & Documents, and a light look (build 115)
October 21, 2026
- Lisorto now organizes your Desktop and Documents even when iCloud keeps them in sync (Desktop & Documents Folders in iCloud Drive). Only files that are on your Mac move; files that are only in iCloud stay where they are until they're downloaded.
- Lisorto now has a light look. It follows your Mac's appearance; to always use Light or Dark, open Settings › General › Appearance.
- Fixed: a folder Lisorto accepted when you chose it could later be refused with “Lisorto couldn't reopen your folder”. Choosing a folder and reopening it now use exactly the same check.
- Folders kept in sync by Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive, or elsewhere in iCloud Drive aren't supported yet. Lisorto says so the moment you choose one, names the folder, and offers Downloads instead.
Big folders sort completely (build 114)
October 19, 2026
- Fixed: in a big Tidy up, one file that couldn't move (most often a photo whose clear name another photo of the same scene already had) stopped the files after it too, so many stayed behind as “Failed”. Now each file gets a free name (“Rocks and bridge 2”), and one stop never holds up the rest.
- A file that stops because its name was just taken, or because it changed, is tried once more right away.
- History says why a move stopped, and Show opens the file where it still is. When the file moves later, its old “Failed” line goes away.
- The result of a Tidy up now says how many files couldn’t move and why, and how many stayed for you to decide.
AutoPilot keeps going after a restart (build 113)
October 18, 2026
- When you turn on AutoPilot, Lisorto offers to open at login, so new files keep getting sorted after you restart your Mac. It's never turned on without your OK, and you can change it in Settings › General.
- When it opens at login, Lisorto starts in the menu bar without its window.
A Pro window that fits (build 112)
October 17, 2026
- The Lisorto Pro window is more compact, so all of it fits on smaller screens, buttons included.
Your own AI suggests, you decide (build 111)
October 17, 2026
- With your own AI (Ollama, LM Studio, or another OpenAI-compatible server), its answers are now suggestions you approve in Tidy up; AutoPilot moves files on its own only by your rules.
- Settings recommend a model with 7B parameters or more: smaller ones often put files in the wrong place.
Rules by age, and your own AI (build 110)
October 17, 2026
- Rules can go by age: send any file nobody changed for 90 days to an Archive Space, or leave old drafts where they are. In Settings › Rules, choose “Any file” or add “Only files not changed for” to any rule.
- Your own AI: point Lisorto at Ollama, LM Studio, or any OpenAI-compatible server, and it sorts and names unclear documents with it. Short excerpts go only to the address you set. In Settings › AutoPilot › How Lisorto decides.
Clear names for photos, and names your way (build 109)
October 17, 2026
- Photos named like IMG_1234.jpg get a clear name from what they show and the day they were taken: “Dog and beach 2024-05-12.jpg”. They are looked at on your Mac, and this works on every Mac, with or without Apple Intelligence. Part of Lisorto Pro.
- Choose how new names look: name then date, or date first (“2026-09 Vodafone invoice”) so files sort by date in Finder. In Settings › AutoPilot, next to clear names.
- Click any new name in Tidy up to change it before anything moves, or keep the old one.
- Duplicates: “Keep this copy instead” sorts the one you pick, and the other copy goes to Duplicates.
Your Macs, and inviting friends (build 108)
October 17, 2026
- Lisorto Pro works on one Mac at a time for each account. Signing in on another Mac moves Pro there; the first Mac says where it went and can move it back with one click. Nothing on either Mac is moved or deleted.
- Want Pro on more Macs at once? Add a Mac in Settings › Plan & Account, or on your account page at lisorto.app.
- Settings › Plan & Account lists the Macs signed in to your account, and your account page can sign one out.
- Invite friends is easier to find: Lisorto › Invite Friends…, and a link in the Pro window and after a Tidy up. Your invite link now loads in the app too.
What Lisorto Free includes (build 107)
October 17, 2026
- Lisorto Free now tidies up 100 files a month by hand, and keeps search of what Lisorto filed (scans too), duplicates, History, and Undo. Unlimited Tidy up, Free up space, and searching other folders are part of Pro.
- If you started Lisorto before October 17, 2026, your Free stays as it was: no monthly limit, Free up space, and the folders you search.
Ask your files (build 106)
October 16, 2026
- Ask in search, like "when does my passport expire?" or "how much notice for the lease?", and Lisorto answers from your files, with the file the answer came from. Apple Intelligence reads a few passages on your Mac; nothing is sent anywhere. Part of Lisorto Pro, on Macs with Apple Intelligence (macOS 26 or later). You can turn it off in Settings › Search.
- An answer with a date or an amount that isn't in the file is never shown. When the files don't say, Lisorto tells you and lists the closest matches.
- A question finds files by any of its words, so the files it may be about show up even without an answer.
- A scan or screenshot still waiting to be read is found by its name meanwhile.
- If Lisorto said it was up to date while a newer version was out, that's fixed: check for updates once more.
Photos by what they show, more room, and Quick Look in search (build 105)
October 16, 2026
- Find photos by what's in them: type "dog", "beach", or "receipt" and Lisorto finds the photo, in what it filed and in the folders it searches. A photo of a document is also found by its text. Photos are looked at on your Mac; nothing is uploaded.
- Free up space now also finds big files nobody opened in six months and screenshots older than three months. They're never picked for you: pick what can go, take a look in Finder first if you like, and it waits in the Trash, with Put back.
- In the search window, ⌘Y or the eye opens Quick Look, ⌘↩ shows the file in Finder, and you can drag a result straight into an email, a chat, or a folder.
- A file in iCloud Drive that was found by name is read for its text once it's downloaded to your Mac.
- Fixed: a result from the previous search could stay at the top of the list.
Search any folder, from any app (build 104)
October 16, 2026
- Press ⇧⌘Space in any app and a search window opens over whatever you're doing, like Spotlight. Type a word, pick a result with the arrow keys, and Return opens it. You can change the shortcut or turn it off in Settings › Search.
- Search more than what Lisorto filed: add Documents, the Desktop, iCloud Drive, or any folder in Settings › Search, and find files there by name or by the text inside, scans and screenshots included. Lisorto only reads these folders: nothing there is moved, renamed, or deleted.
- Files in iCloud Drive that aren't downloaded to this Mac are found by name, so searching never downloads anything.
- Each result shows where the file is and the line that matched, with a button to show it in Finder.
Scans read reliably, and a clear end to the trial (build 103)
October 15, 2026
- Scans get read even when macOS's most accurate text recognizer stops working, which can happen on macOS 27: Lisorto switches to its quicker reader instead of waiting, so the scan is filed and found by its text. While a scan is being read, it now says so.
- When your Pro trial ends, Lisorto tells you with a notification, along with what it did during the trial, instead of pausing AutoPilot quietly. Clicking any Lisorto notification opens the window.
- "Remind me before my trial ends" is now also on the Tidy up screen during the trial, so it's easy to find.
- If a file can't move because it changed in the meantime, the message says that in plain words.
Folders and apps in Downloads, and invite friends (build 102)
October 11, 2026
- Folders and apps lying in your folder no longer stay behind. Tidy up lists them and moves a folder whole into the Space its name or most of its files point to, or the one you pick, without looking through it. Only when you ask, never by AutoPilot, and one Undo puts the folders back.
- An app lying in Downloads that isn't installed yet moves into Applications after you confirm. A second copy of an app you already have can go to the Trash in Free up space, and Put back returns it.
- Invite friends from Settings, Plan & Account: they get 20% off their first payment, and you get a month of Pro for each friend who buys it (a month of Cloud AI if you own Pro for life), up to 12 a year.
- With anonymous counts on, Lisorto passes on the crash and hang reports macOS collects for it, without any file names, folders, or account, so we can fix what breaks.
Intel Macs, and your trial at a glance (build 101)
October 11, 2026
- Lisorto now runs on Intel Macs too, with macOS 14 or later. Clear names and AI on your Mac need an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence; on other Macs, Cloud AI can do them with your consent.
- In the last two days of your Pro trial, Tidy up shows what Pro did for you so far: files sorted, how many AutoPilot put away as they landed, and clear names.
- The end-of-trial summary and reminders count the files AutoPilot sorted on its own.
Downloads in one click, a folder for each year (build 100)
October 10, 2026
- Start with your Downloads in one click: Tidy up Downloads on the first screen shows where every file would go, with no folder to pick. macOS asks once before Lisorto can see the folder, and nothing moves until you say so.
- A folder for each year inside Spaces, like Bills and receipts/2025 and Images/2026, by the date each file last changed. Turn it on in Settings, Sorting. Pro.
- Folders with thousands of files open in seconds, sort about twice as fast, and Undo is several times faster.
- With Cloud AI on, documents whose topic is unclear go to Documents or the Space their title names, instead of waiting in Needs a look.
- Lisorto's icon no longer flickers in the Dock while files are being read.
- Sort them again, after an Undo, offers every file you put back. A file with a tab in its name no longer stops Lisorto from opening the folder.
- .iso, .img, and .xip files count as installers.
A whole folder in one go (build 99)
October 9, 2026
- With Pro, one Tidy up sorts your whole folder, however many thousands of files it holds: one summary and one Undo for all of it. Lisorto Free sorts 200 at a time and shows how many more are waiting and where they'd go.
- Sorting and Undo are much faster, even with a long history behind them, and Undo shows how far it is.
- Free up space: Lisorto finds installers for apps you already have, installers nobody opened in a month, and copies, and moves the ones you pick to the Trash. Put back returns them.
- Make it a rule: send files with the same word in their name to one Space twice, and Lisorto offers to do it for you from then on, AutoPilot included. Pro.
- In Needs a look, pick several files and move them to one Space at once. Names and titles in Ukrainian and Russian, also written in Latin letters like dogovir or rakhunok, are recognized.
- Clear names on a Mac without Apple Intelligence too, with Pro and Cloud AI on.
- Your last tidy up stays one click away, with its summary and Undo.
Screenshots that sort themselves (build 98)
October 9, 2026
- Screenshots get a name from what they show, and a receipt goes to Bills and receipts, a booking or a boarding pass to Travel. With AutoPilot and AI on your Mac, new screenshots are named and filed the moment they land. Pro, on macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence.
- New folders get their Spaces right inside them, like Downloads/Images, with no extra Lisorto folder. Each folder keeps its own choice in Settings.
- Readable documents whose topic is unclear go to Documents again, instead of piling up in Needs a look.
- Click a Space on the Spaces page to open it in Finder. Each Space shows how many files it holds, and any Space can be renamed there, built-in ones too.
- Undo also removes the empty folders Lisorto made, and Tidy up offers to sort the files you put back. Your last tidy up stays one click away.
- Switch folders from the folder name at the top of Tidy up.
- Lisorto keeps to one window: the Dock, the menu bar, and Open Lisorto all bring the same one forward.
- A square share card that X, Threads, and LinkedIn show in full, and plainer wording in Settings and History.
AutoPilot first, and a reminder (build 97)
October 9, 2026
- After your first Tidy up, AutoPilot is the next step: turn it on in one click and new files sort themselves as they land.
- Didn't get to try AutoPilot before your trial ended? Take one more week of Pro, once.
- Get one email reminder two days before your trial ends, if you like. Your address is deleted once it's sent.
- On Lisorto Free, you can see what Pro would do with your files: the Space and a clear name AI on your Mac already worked out.
- Every plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee, and Lifetime is $99 at its launch price until October 31. (Prices have changed since; see Pricing for today's.)
- Lisorto's own icon in the menu bar.
Click a Space (build 96)
October 9, 2026
- Click a Space under Where it all goes, or in the sidebar, to see just the files going there.
- A cleaner Tidy up page, and a tidy What's new in the update window.
- Lisorto counts a few key steps, like your first Tidy up, as plain anonymous numbers, the same way it counts installs. Never file names or contents. The question after a Tidy up is gone.
One-click update (build 95)
October 9, 2026
- If you have build 94, this is your first update from inside the app: press Update in the sidebar and Lisorto reopens on the new version.
Updates from inside the app (build 94)
October 9, 2026
- From this version on, updating takes one click: press Update, and Lisorto downloads the new version, checks it’s really from us, and reopens. No installer to download or drag.
Faster first look, screenshots on the Desktop (build 93)
October 9, 2026
- Your folder shows right away. AI suggestions and clear names fill in a moment later, and big installers and videos aren’t read again after a restart.
- Screenshots land on your Desktop: Lisorto now offers to tidy it too, right from the welcome screen or after a Tidy up.
- Trial reminders tell you what Lisorto did for you so far.
- A slimmer sidebar: your plan, updates, and AutoPilot each take one line.
- Double-click the top of the window to zoom it, and again to put it back.
- Key files like .jks or .p12 are left alone with a clear reason, and no longer show a badge.
- Optional: after a Tidy up, Lisorto asks once whether to share anonymous counts. Never file names or contents.
Straight to your folder (build 92)
October 9, 2026
- Lisorto opens on your folder right away and shows it’s opening, instead of the welcome screen while it takes its first look after an update.
Report a problem (build 91)
October 9, 2026
- Something went wrong? Report a problem from the sidebar, the Help menu, or the menu bar. You see exactly what’s sent: no file or folder names.
- After an update, Lisorto opens on your folder, not on the welcome screen.
- Opening a second copy of Lisorto, say from the installer, now switches to the one already open.
Smoother switching (build 90)
October 9, 2026
- Moving Spaces back into a Lisorto folder no longer leaves AutoPilot paused. If that folder doesn’t exist yet, AutoPilot starts again by itself after your next Tidy up.
Spaces right in your folder (build 89)
October 8, 2026
- New setting: put Spaces right in the folder you sort, like Downloads/Images, instead of inside a Lisorto folder. It’s per folder, and off unless you turn it on.
- Your own folders are never mixed in: if you already have an Images folder, Lisorto makes Images 2 beside it.
- Files already sorted stay where they are, and AutoPilot keeps running when you switch.
Your own Spaces (build 88)
October 8, 2026
- Pro: make Spaces of your own for a client, a project, or a company, on the Spaces page or right from Choose a Space.
- Lisorto notices when several files belong together, say seven documents from the same company, and offers a Space for them.
- Rules can send files to your own Spaces, and AutoPilot keeps sorting into them.
Fewer files left behind (build 86)
October 8, 2026
- Documents Lisorto can read but can’t place now go to Documents instead of waiting for you. AutoPilot still only moves files it’s sure about.
- A new Other Space for everyday files like .json, .ics, .cer, and fonts. Vector images go to Images, saved web pages to Documents.
- Undo your latest Tidy up in one click from History.
- Change a folder from the sidebar. Lisorto shows it’s opening it, and offers to switch when one folder is inside another.
- Showtime fits smaller windows, and “Open Lisorto folder” opens where your files landed.
- Double-click the top of the window to zoom it, like any Mac app.
- Fixed: an undo could stop halfway, and some folders showed “couldn’t refresh your folder”.
Update notices (build 84)
October 8, 2026
- Lisorto tells you when a new version is ready, in the window and in the menu bar, whichever folder you’re looking at.
Screenshots (build 83)
October 8, 2026
- Screenshots get their own Space instead of piling up with your photos.
- With Pro, each one is named after what it shows, read on your Mac.
- Menu bar search finds screenshots by any word on them.
Search, Lifetime, and a better trial (builds 75–80)
October 8, 2026
- Search everything Lisorto filed from the menu bar, by name or by the text inside, scans included.
- Lisorto Pro for life: $99 once. Cloud AI can be added for $4.99 a month.
- AutoPilot can start right after your first Tidy up, and a short report shows what Pro did during the trial.
- A weekly summary of what AutoPilot sorted.
Clear names, scans, and duplicates (builds 70–74)
October 8, 2026
- Clear names (Pro): files like scan0001.pdf are named after what they are. You see every name first.
- Scanned PDFs are read on your Mac with Apple’s text recognition.
- Duplicates go to their own Space with the space they take. Nothing is deleted.
- Every folder is watched for Tidy up, even with AutoPilot off.
More folders (build 68)
October 7, 2026
- Pro: add your Desktop, Documents, or any folder, each with its own AutoPilot and History.
Lisorto Pro and AutoPilot with AI (builds 49–65)
October 7, 2026
- Lisorto Pro with a 7-day trial: no card, no account.
- AutoPilot sorts new files as they land, using your rules and AI on your Mac (Apple Intelligence) or optional Cloud AI.
- Clearer sorting of everyday files: installers, archives, documents, videos, and audio each get a Space.
First Mac release
September 2026
- Tidy up a folder: see where every file goes, approve, and watch it sort in Showtime.
- History and Undo for every move. Lisorto never overwrites or deletes a file.
