FOR DESIGNERS

Reference screenshots, exports, zips.
Sorted.

Designers collect: screenshots for reference, exports for review, fonts and asset packs in zips, installers for every tool. Lisorto sorts them out of Downloads and the Desktop, and finds any screenshot by the words on it.

Before and after

The Desktop after a sprint,
sorted.

Lisorto proposes a Space for every file and, where a name says nothing, a clear name. You approve, and one Undo takes it all back.

The real app

Sorted, named,
and findable.

Under a minute of the real app on a Mac with sample files: every move shown first, clear names, one click to sort, AutoPilot for new files, search by the text inside, answers from your files, room freed up, and Undo.

  • Sorts a whole folder into Spaces in one click
  • AutoPilot keeps new files tidy as they land
  • Names scans and screenshots after what they show
  • Finds any file by the text inside it, or answers your question
  • Sets duplicates aside and frees up space, never deletes on its own

How it works

Three steps.
No setup.

01

Pick a folder.

Downloads is a great place to start. Lisorto reads it on your Mac and finds a place for each file.

Downloads1,284 files
02

See every move.

Each file shows exactly where it will go. Change a Space, skip a file, or leave the unclear ones for later.

e-ticket(3).pdfTravel
03

Watch it sort.

One click, and files fly into place in Showtime. Every move is recorded, so you can undo it all later.

All sorted.

More than sorting

Clear names. More room.
Every folder.

Lisorto reads what a file is, not just what it's called, so the mess stays gone.

PRO · AI ON YOUR MAC

Clear names.

Scans called scan0001 and screenshots named after the clock get a name from what they show; a screenshot of a receipt goes with your bills, a booking with your travel. In Tidy up you see every new name first, AutoPilot names new screenshots as they land, and Undo brings the old one back.

PRO

Free up space.

Installers for apps you already have, copies, and big files nobody opened in months, with how much room each takes. Only what you pick goes to the Trash, and Put back returns it.

Duplicates, found.

A second download or a “Report (1).pdf” goes to its own Space instead of cluttering the rest. Nothing is deleted.

Trust

Nothing moves
until you say so.

Organizing your files should never feel risky. Lisorto is built so it can't surprise you.

Read on your Mac

File names, paths and document text are read locally. Cloud AI, part of Lisorto Pro, is off until you turn it on, and it shows you exactly what it sends before you consent.

You approve every move

See the exact destination first. Unclear files wait in “Needs a look” instead of being guessed.

Undo anytime

Every move is recorded. Lisorto never overwrites or deletes a file, and a whole batch goes back in one step.

Read our privacy approach
“I built Lisorto because my Downloads folder had 1,200 files and half of them were called scan0001.pdf or Screenshot something. It had to be safe enough that I’d trust it with my own files: nothing deleted, every move undoable, no files uploaded. If it saves you an afternoon, it did its job.”
— the developer of Lisorto, an independent Mac app

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Will Lisorto touch my project folders?

Only folders you add. Most people start with Downloads and the Desktop; your project folders stay as they are unless you add them.

Can I keep my own folder structure?

Yes. Spaces are ordinary folders. With Pro you add your own Spaces and rules by name, extension, or age.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Sorting, search, and AI on your Mac work without the internet. Only Cloud AI, which is optional, needs a connection.

Does Lisorto ever delete my files?

No. It only moves and renames, and only after you approve. Copies go to their own Duplicates folder, and every move can be undone, one file or a whole batch at once.

Is it safe to let an app move my files?

You see every move before it happens. Right before moving, Lisorto checks that each file is still exactly the one you approved, never overwrites anything, and keeps a journal so even an interrupted batch is put right.

Do my files leave my Mac?

No. Lisorto reads them on your Mac, and the search index stays there. Cloud AI is optional and off by default: turn it on, and for a document your rules can’t place it sends a short text excerpt, never the file, after showing you exactly what would be sent. Privacy.

What does AutoPilot do?

It sorts new files the moment they land in a folder you chose, the same way Tidy up would, and names new screenshots and scans after what they show. Files it isn’t sure about wait for you, nothing is ever deleted, and every move is in History with Undo. Part of Lisorto Pro.

Can it search folders it didn’t sort?

Yes, with Lisorto Pro. Add Documents, the Desktop, iCloud Drive, or any folder in Settings › Search. Lisorto only reads them and finds files there by name or by the text inside, scans included. With Pro and Apple Intelligence, you can also ask a question and get the answer from your files.

What happens after the 7-day trial?

Nothing is charged: we never asked for a card. You keep Lisorto Free: 100 files a month by hand, search of what Lisorto filed, duplicates, History and Undo. Unlimited Tidy up, AutoPilot, answers, AI, clear names, and Free up space wait until you get Pro.

How much is Pro?

$4.99 a month or $29 a year with Cloud AI, or once for life from $29. Compare plans.

What if Pro isn’t for me?

Every paid plan has a 30-day money-back guarantee: ask support and you get a full refund, no questions asked.

How is Lisorto different from Hazel, Sparkle, or Sortio?

Lisorto reads each file on your Mac, proposes where it goes and a clear name, and moves nothing until you approve, with one Undo for the whole batch. It also finds files by any word inside them. See how the Mac file organizers compare.

Which Macs does it run on?

Any Mac with macOS 14 or later, Apple Silicon or Intel. Clear names and AI on your Mac need an Apple Silicon Mac with macOS 26 and Apple Intelligence; on other Macs, Cloud AI can do them with your consent.

Which folders can it tidy?

Downloads to start. With Pro, add your Desktop, Documents, or any folder, each with its own AutoPilot and History.

How do I uninstall Lisorto?

Quit it from the menu bar, move it from Applications to the Trash, and remove its folder in ~/Library/Containers. Your sorted files stay where they are. How to uninstall Lisorto, step by step.

Clear the pile.
Keep your weekend.

Free for Mac, no account needed. Your first 7 days include Lisorto Pro, with AutoPilot keeping your folder tidy in the background. After that, tidying up by hand stays free, and Pro is $29 a year, or pay once from $29.
